One of the more interesting traditions of the new school is the wearing of academic robes on various occasions during the year. We all went very Hogwarts today and I finally got to wear my gown for the first time. Bookclub in the evening and one photo of a series of a cat impression using my gorillacam ipod app which does time lapse -this is Bernie- nuf said

  1. Nice gown. What book did you read for you book club. My book club just discussed A Pigeon and a Boy by Israeli author, Meir Shalev. Now we are on to Nicholas Hornby.

  2. Susan we were reading The Children's Book by A.S. Byatt. Big text which I haven't finished yet but the group loved it- pre WW1 fabien society England, the lost generation, stories full of metaphor and so much in it. We are doing a local poet for next time and then Wolf Hall so everyone has time to get it read.
